PHYSIOTHERAPY

We are nothing more than catalysts towards the improvement of your health. We believe that with the right guidance, you are in control of your health.

Treatment Types:

        Manual Therapy:

Manual therapy is a treatment technique used by physiotherapists to mobilize joints and manipulate muscle and joint. The purpose of manual therapy is to diagnose conditions, reduce pain and inflammation and increase joint or muscle range of motion and flexibility. Manual therapy includes massage, corrective mobilizations and stretching techniques that help to induce relaxation, facilitate movement and improve function. We at Thrive Physiotherapy will teach you the correct stretching and self-mobilization technique to ensure that your treatment continues at home and doesn't stop at our doorstep.

        Dry Needling:

Dry needling is utilized by physiotherapists for treatment of pain and movement impairments. Dry needling is not Traditional Chinese Acupuncture and is a part of Western practice. Dry needling is utilized to release trigger or tension points that build up in your muscles. Our staff are well trained in dry needling techniques and the anatomical knowledge of the human body.

ACC Consultations:

ACC subsidies are available for all treatments resulting from an accident or injury. Recent legislative changes have meant that patients are now required to make a contribution to this treatment. You do not need a referral to see us, however, if you do have a referral form from your doctor or hospital or any health provider, then make sure to bring that documentation with you to your appointment.

Lowest Rate Private Consultations:

3 out of 5 New Zealanders lives with chronic pain in New Zealand. This is because they do not have the right knowledge and the treatments available are not at affordable costs. We at Thrive, have kept our private consultation prices low because we genuinely want everyone to seek advice and guidance for their conditions. That way you do not have to wait to get an appointment in the hospital which can take more than 6 months. See us to get the right treatment you need, you are not meant to be living with pain.
